The short version

Settle It is a free party game for watching sport together. Play fair, keep names decent, and remember that any prize comes from the bar or the host, not from us.

Playing

  • ·Playing is free and no purchase is necessary. How a game works is in the official rules.
  • ·Be old enough to be where you're playing. A bar's own rules apply in the bar.
  • ·Names, crew names and photos are seen by the whole room. Keep them decent. The host, the bar and we can remove them.
  • ·Don't try to break, overload or cheat the game, or use it for anything it isn't for.

Prizes

Settle It doesn’t offer, hold, pay or guarantee prizes. A prize is the bar’s or the host’s: they set it, hand it over and settle any question about it. Bars and hosts are responsible for running prizes where they’re allowed.

Scores

Scores come from a public score feed or are typed by the host. A feed can be late or wrong; the host can type the score by hand. A settled period stands as the TV showed it.

Your account

An account is free and optional. Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account any time in Your Settle It; what goes with it is in the privacy page. We can close an account that’s used to abuse the game or other players.

Running it at a bar

  • ·Every bar is free while we launch. Nothing is billed and nothing renews or changes on its own. When paid plans start (planned at $99 a month or $999 a year), we'll tell you first and you'll choose.
  • ·Your bar's name, logo, pictures and specials are yours. You need the right to use them, and you let us show them on your games, your TV and Find a bar.
  • ·If you list your bar, its name, address, pin and planned games are public.
  • ·You're responsible for your prizes, your specials and serving responsibly.

The fine print

Settle It is provided as it is, while we build it. We work to keep it running and correct, but we can’t promise it will never be down, late or wrong, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for losses from using it. We may change the game and these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed.
